SOCIEDAD PORTUARIA REGIONAL DE BARRANQUILLA S.A., considers environmental management as a priority activity within its organization, for this reason, it is committed to perform adequate control of all significant issues derived from Port Activities that might have an impact on the environment, and to continuously improve all processes of the Environmental Management System.
In order to assure this commitment, SOCIEDAD PORTUARIA REGIONAL DE BARRANQUILLA S.A. declares and assumes the following principles:
Identify all environmental issues that are a consequence of its activities and services, over which it can exert influence.
Prevent, control and minimize contamination through the application of adequate and feasible organization and technological measures, within the framework of its competence, allocating all necessary resources in order to attain all environmental goals proposed.
Sensitize all collaborators and users of the Public Maritime and Fluvial Terminal of Barranquilla about their environmental responsibilities derived from the performance of their activities in order to ensure control over environmental issues.
Identify all current legal and regulatory requirements whose compliance will be the criterion for the establishment of environmental commitments of their services and activities.
To establish, document and review on an annual basis the targets, goals and programs for each affected function and level.
Place at the disposition of customers, users and the public in general this Environmental Policy.
All employees, both of Sociedad Portuaria Regional de Barranquilla S.A. as well as of the companies that perform activities at the Barranquilla Public Maritime and Fluvial Terminal are required to support this policy
